About us.

We are a gentle stroll from the centre of the medieval market town of Hawkshead, with it's pretty cobbled streets, ancient church of St Michael, Wordsword's Grammar School and the Beatrix Potter Gallery. There is a good variety of pubs restaurants and cafes on offer.

"A great place for comfort, lovely breakfast, parking at the front door, warm and homely."

"I would definately recommend Merlin House, the only disappointment was that we couldn't have stayed for longer."
